Extra-curricular - After School Clubs

Extra-curricular Clubs
Article 31: All children have the Right to relax and play
Welcome!
Spring term clubs are available for all children - Reception to Year 6.
Spring term clubs will begin the week beginning 8th January 2024 and the last session will be the week beginning 18th March 2023. There will be no clubs the last week of the spring term (week beginning 25th March 2024).

After school clubs led by school staff run from straight after school and finish at 4pm.
Note Rugby club run by CSIA ends at 4:20pm.

Some clubs are restricted to numbers and age groups - so please check before signing up that your child is in the year group that the club is being offered to. Clubs are inclusive to all. If you wish to discuss your child's needs at any of the clubs please contact the member of staff running the club and/or Miss Berry.

Miss Murphy is running two SATS Booster Clubs this term for Year 6 children. Year 6 are encouraged to attend one of these clubs a week to help prepare them for their SATS in May. With two clubs, children will get dedicated 1:1 time with Miss Murphy and they still have the options to attend their favourite after school clubs. There is a maximum of 8 children per session.

Mrs Richards is running a TTRockstars Club (fun Maths based activities, including using iPad games and TTRockstars). Year 4 children are encouraged to attend this club to help prepare them for the Multiplication Tables Check.

Sports4Tots is run by Nick Eagles. This club is open to children in Reception, Year 1, 2 and 3 only on a Tuesday after school for one hour.

Please submit your choices by Monday 18th December 2023 - 9am.  Children will come home on Monday with a slip detailing which clubs they have been allocated a space in.

If we have more children wanting to do a certain club than we have spaces for, we will either run the club in blocks (if appropriate) or draw the names out of a hat and ensure children not allocated a place are placed on a waiting list for the club and allocated a space later if others drop out.

NEW COLECTION POINTS FOR AFTER CLUBS:

Autumn term clubs are available for Godolphin (Y1/2), Trencrom (Y3/4) and Tregonning (Y5/6) Classes.
In the spring term, Carn Brea children are invited to join in with clubs - we find that Reception children are just too tired in the autumn term as they adjust to school life.

Autumn term clubs will begin the week beginning 11th September and the last session will be the week beginning 4th December. There will be no clubs the last week of the autumn term (week beginning 11th December).

After school clubs run by school staff run from straight after school and finish at 4pm.

Please check when booking school run clubs that you are not doubling up with the same day and time for external clubs.
There is a charge for external clubs and booking for this must be done directly with the external provider. Details below:

If we have more children wanting to do a certain club than we have spaces for, we will 'draw the names out of a hat'.  We will endeavour to make this as fair as possible and if children do not get a place in a certain club, we will add them to a waiting list in case others drop out.

Collect children from all after school clubs at the main office.
